The DC Summer STEM Academy strives to provide a dynamic and enriching summer experience in math and computer programming to students of all racial, ethnic, and socioeconomic backgrounds. Since the fee for students to attend is nominal, the vast majority of the Academy’s operating costs are subsidized by individual donations. In addition to funding the weeklong DC Summer STEM Academy program in late July, the DC Summer STEM Academy also provides scholarship funds for students from lower-income families to attend other summer STEM camps in the DC metro area.
